SARAH SENECA is a not-for-profit agency that supports individuals with disabilities in residential services. SARAH SENECA has numerous programs all along the shoreline in CT with IHS, CLA, and CRS programs.
Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Program Manager role located in Branford, CT. The Program Manager will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of a CLA group home, ensuring compliance with DDS and organizational policies. Responsibilities include managing program/individual budgets, supervising staff, developing Individual plans/ goals, and ensuring high-quality medical and behavioral supports to individuals. The Program Manager will collaborate with team members, stakeholders, guardians, and clients to evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvements to meet organizational goals.
Additional duties may include preparing staff schedule, maintain client records, and facilitate staff training and development within the group home. Will have on-call responsibilities associated with this position.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills to effectively manage program operations and supervise all the direct support staff.
- Proficiency in budget management, planning, and ensuring compliance with Medicaid, SSDI, and SSA.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills for engaging with staff, clients, and stakeholders
- Knowledge of DDS IP process and development goals for individuals. Responsible for monitoring and evaluating the documentation within the home.
- Familiarity with personal care and transfers. Responsible for medical oversite within the group home setting to include scheduling doctor appointments and medical follow-up.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and use time management to complete all required tasks.
- Develop a good team within the residential setting by holding monthly staff meetings and working hands on with the individuals and staff as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience; prior management experience preferred
- BA in a human services field or at least 3 years' experience working in a group home setting.
- Valid CT driver's license with clean driving record required
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen required
- DDS Medication Certification, CPR/FA, and PMT certifications a plus
- At least 3 years of management experience preferred.
