The Quality Engineer will help develop and improve our manufacturing processes and assist in implementing the quality policies and systems. The position is responsible for process design and implementation for new products and continuous improvement opportunities, improving industrial processes to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability, and maximize profitability. The role also leads and facilitates the implementation of quality initiatives and their continual improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations and quality requirements.
  • Manage all quality-related issues within the Business Unit team (e.g., internal, customer, and customer warranty).
  • Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection.
  • Ensure that the products produced meet quality standards required to minimize quality costs (COPQ) and maximize customer satisfaction while ensuring procedures and processes are followed.
  • Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents, and reports.
  • Create, revise, and improve quality standards, procedures, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, and documents.
  • Ensure compliance with the Quality Management systems and regulations (ISO
    9001/AS9100, AS13100, NADCAP, FAA).
  • Participate in or lead the QIP and MRB activities.
  • Report to management on quality issues, trends, and scrap.
  • Provide and present various RCAC (Root Cause Corrective Action) reports to customers.
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits.
  • Participate in training as required.
  • Conduct training as required.
  • Lead the cross‑functional teams for root cause investigation and write reports as needed.
  • Up to 5% travel (domestic and/or international) as necessary.
  • Perform other activities, projects, or tasks assigned by leadership with minimal supervision.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to set priorities to meet internal & external customer demands.
  • Must be highly organized, a self-starter, and able to work independently.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to interpret various engineering drawings.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering. Professional‑level experience may substitute for the degree as appropriate.
  • 5+ years of Quality experience.
  • Strong understanding of quality methods and systems (statistics, reliability, sampling, and auditing).
  • Strong knowledge of root cause analysis, 8D, and continuous improvements.
  • Strong understanding of AS9100 and ISO
    9001 standards.
  • Experience with product qualification activities or inspection/control.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with MS Office software including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Power BI.
  • Proficient in using statistical software such as MINITAB and JMP.
  • Experience utilizing manufacturing or ERP software;
    Visual a plus.
  • Experienced in APQP and PPAP (FMEA, CP, MSA, Cpk/Ppk, SPC/SQC).
  • Proficient in FAIR.
  • Aerospace industry experience strongly preferred.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Work in an office and manufacturing environment.
  • May be exposed to routine noise from the manufacturing plant floor.
  • Must be able to push, pull, and lift at least 20 lbs. unaided.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, reach, bend, and grasp equipment, tools, or inventory.
  • Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary when working in areas on the manufacturing plant floor.

This position requires either a US Person (as defined in applicable export regulations) or a non‑US Person who is eligible to obtain the required export authorization. To conform to U.S. export control regulations, the applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.
