The Registration Specialist is responsible for assisting patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits as well as completing financial clearance functions.
Responsibilities- Assist patients during on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits.
- Collect accurate demographic information, insurance information, and handle patient financial obligations at the time of service.
- Perform financial clearance functions on assigned scheduled accounts during registration downtimes.
- Greet and serve patients and internal team members in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner to promote positive encounters.
- Provide travel between sites and extended hours as required based on business needs of the department.
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
ExperienceAt least 1–2 years of prior registration experience (preferred)
Skills- Proficient in using computers and computer systems.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with the public and co-workers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
