POSITION SUMMARY

The Guest Services Coordinator will be responsible for the management of promotion and business development strategies to drive team/player sales for promotions offered by the venue and affiliated partners. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to promotions and solicitation of the venue offerings directly to registered teams/players and groups participating in events and individual/group sales for other attractions at the sports venue.

The Sales Coordinator will work closely with all departments to forecast and deliver budgetary goals for concierge services.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
  • Achieves operational objectives by contributing marketing and sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change
  • May represent the venue at local and community meetings, etc.
  • Has ability to motivate coaches, club directors, team representatives, families and other attendees throughout the sales and booking process to utilize all available amenities and programs
  • Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
  • Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving product packaging and collateral; assisting with new product development
  • Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Will assist team in venue operations as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prior experience in sales or business development activities preferred
  • Ability to develop content and write with company voice in mind
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or advertising; or minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a similar position
  • Technologically savvy with skills in using multiple platforms or software for a variety of tasks such as cloud file management or project management
  • Knowledge in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Skilled at identifying and creating opportunities or promotions to deliver revenue goals
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving, negotiating and sales skills
  • Must be a team player and deadline-driven
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours)
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Office setting
  • Due to the nature of the sports facility, may be expected to work varied hours
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds to waist high
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time both indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop, or bend
  • Must be able to work in varying weather conditions
  • Will be required to operate a computer
  • Facility has intermittent noise
