Silver Dollar City – Entertainment & Events Specialty Character, Pumpkins in the City (Seasonal, 2026)
This is a Seasonal position with evening hours.
This position begins 9/15/2026 and ends 10/31/2026.
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Description'Outgoing' and 'Extraverted' is key for this position. Candidate must be comfortable interacting with guests throughout the evening during Pumpkin Nights and provide outstanding guest service by serving as one of six Specialty Characters (Peter, Penelope, and Pumpkin Plaza Patrol).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Participate in Pumpkin Nights photo opportunities and dance parties, and continually interact with guests in the Grand Expo and Pumpkin Plaza.
- Act as an E&E Ambassador of goodwill by creating an extraordinary and memorable experience 'in character' for our guests.
- Work in harmony with other Entertainers and Park Hosts.
- Keep safety at the top of the mind while maintaining a healthy and happy work environment.
- Respond to guest inquiries in a friendly, non-offensive manner without deviating from safety procedures.
- Perform in a Specialty Character role for Marketing and/or Special Events as needed.
- Be mindful of time in and time out of costume to ensure performer safety.
- Character is responsible for their own make-up and shoes.
- The ability to lift and/or move 10 pounds frequently to 50 pounds maximum
- The ability to stand and walk on uneven terrain, inclines, asphalt, and concrete continuously
- The ability to perform choreographed actions related to performing frequently
- The ability to remember locations, understand and carry out instructions
- The ability to work in extreme weather occasionally
This role takes place in an energetic, outdoor setting during evening hours as part of our seasonal fall celebration. Performers should expect to work in a dynamic environment that includes music, lighting effects, costuming, and frequent guest interaction. The atmosphere is festive and fast-paced, with exposure to varying weather conditions including heat, wind, and occasional rain. Team members will be expected to maintain high energy while performing on various surfaces such as pavement, and uneven terrain.
Collaboration with fellow performers, stage managers, and entertainment support staff is essential to creating a memorable guest experience.
