• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Successful completion of a Certified Law Enforcement Academy.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri P.O.S.T. Certificate as a condition of employment. Candidates with certifications from other states will be allowed 30 days to receive P.O.S.T. certification in Missouri after being offered employment.

• Two (2) years of experience in a similar or larger sized agency.

• Must be at least 21 years of age at the start of employment.
• Vision must be correctable to 20/40 and pass the Ishihara color vision test and/or be able to recognize the colors of traffic signals and devices showing red, green and amber.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position.
• Must possess no felony convictions at any time while employed by the City of Branson.
• Must be able to pass drug and alcohol screenings, a background investigation, polygraph, psychological, and medical/physical examinations.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

The starting hourly wage is $23.76 per hour and will increase to $24.71 per hour after 6 months of successful probation. Experienced lateral hires can earn between $53,000 and $59,000 annually depending on qualifications and experience.

In and around the City of Branson, Missouri; this position requires work to be performed onsite. The position may involve shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in alignment with the Department's 24/7/365 operations.
