The Nurse Care Coordinator is a registered or licensed nursing professional responsible for the development and coordination of lactation services, breastfeeding education, and clinical support programs within the Women's Center. Utilizing a patient-centered approach, this role provides lactation education and support to pregnant and postpartum patients and their families, coordinates care for patients and/or mother‑infant couplets, and promotes positive maternal and infant health outcomes through collaboration with providers.
Inpatient/outpatient rounding.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Required)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (Preferred)
- Previous experience with Electronic Health Records (Required)
- IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) (Required)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience assisting breastfeeding families (Preferred)
- 2-3 years obstetric, perinatal, or related experience (Preferred)
- Excellent telephone and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize; strong organizational skills
- Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Computer experience required
Required:
RN License active in the state of Missouri.
Required:
IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant).
