Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff. Perform duties such as taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, changing linens, and other duties as assigned. Obtain information on patient condition as requested by nursing staff and report any changes in patient condition.

• Take vitals and assess patient condition.
• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, and mobility.
• Change linens and maintain a clean care environment.
• Record observations and communicate changes to nursing staff.
• Follow care plans and protocols.
• Participate in competency assessment upon program completion.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Prior patient care or health care related experience (for Certified Nurse Assistant: 3 months experience in inpatient or long‑term care, EMT, or Surgical Technologist; or completion of an unlicensed assistive personnel program or fundamentals of nursing course with clinical in an accredited nursing program or practical nursing education program within the past 3 years).
• Must possess a Missouri CNA License, or MO CNA Appendix, with license obtained within 120 days of hire.
• BLS certification obtained within 90 days.
