Job Description:

The Discharge Lounge nurse specializes in providing care completion for the discharging patient, including written and verbal discharge instructions. The discharge lounge nurse will collaborate and communicate with the care team to ensure all discharge milestones are met. The discharge lounge nurse will keep records and provide patients and families with support and education. The Discharge Lounge nurse maintains a wide array of medical care knowledge to care for and educate a diverse group of patients.

• Required:
  
  Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

• Preferred:
  Previous nursing experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrate effective leadership abilities
• Exhibits valuable time management skills
• Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.
• Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.

• Required:
  
  RN license active in the state of Missouri
