Summer Intern - Culinary - Branson Convention Center

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Culinary Summer Intern to join our Food & Beverage team. This internship provides hands-on experience in a high-volume, live-event culinary environment and exposure to multiple aspects of food service operations.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Assist Culinary Leadership with day-to-day kitchen operations and food preparation

* Support food production for events, concessions, catering, and premium services

* Learn and follow proper food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards

* Assist with inventory organization, labeling, and stock rotation

* Observe and participate in event-day culinary execution and service flow

* Collaborate with culinary and F&B team members to support operational needs

* Attend pre-event meetings and assist with post-event breakdown and evaluation

* Learn industry-specific kitchen equipment, tools, and operational procedures

* Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary and hospitality skills

* Provide general support to the Culinary and Food & Beverage teams as assigned

ENVIRONMENTAL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS

* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time

* Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds

* Ability to work in hot, cold, and fast-paced kitchen environments

* Must be able to work nights, weekends, and event-based schedules

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

* Strong interest in culinary arts, food service, or hospitality management

* Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a kitchen environment

* Strong communication and teamwork skills

* Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn

* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume setting

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

* High School Diploma or GED required

* Culinary program enrollment or food service experience preferred, but not required
