This position is a temporary assignment designed to meet current ministry needs. The duration of the assignment may vary and could be short-term or long-term, depending on evolving business requirements.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities- Prepares meals from predetermined menus for intensives, retreats, and special events
- Serves, interacts, and is sensitive to the needs of the couples and guests
- Maintains cleanliness of kitchen and dining area, observes and follows all Health Department guidelines
- Codes Attends and maintains Chemical Training
- Performs Other Duties As Required
- Must be able to pass a Post Offer Prehire Physical exam
- Must be able to lift up to 30lbs
- Must be able to push/pull up to 25lbs
- Must be able to bend and reach above head
- Requires repetitive tasks/motions, good eye-hand-foot coordination, and good manual dexterity
- Some exposure to gases, odors, fumes, and sharp utensils

- Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ; maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Focus; adheres to the Standard of Moral Conduct and Statement of Faith; upholds Focus on the Family's ministry in prayer
- Prays personally for Focus on the Family’s staff and constituents and may occasionally lead in a public prayer

Knowledge/
Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in food service preparation
- Must have Serve Safe Certification
Skills, Abilities, and Special Talents/Gifts:
- Strong customer service and people skills
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions
- Flexible in adjusting priorities
- Ability to work with various food preparation machines and equipment, sharp knives, and various chemicals
$14.00 - $15.82/Hr.
