Food Service​/Housekeeping - Hope Restored, MO

The P/T Food Service/Housekeeping position exists to provide stewardship for all aspects of serving couples through food service.

This position is a temporary assignment designed to meet current ministry needs. The duration of the assignment may vary and could be short-term or long-term, depending on evolving business requirements.

This position may qualify for a hiring bonus.

• Prepares meals from predetermined menus for intensives, retreats, and special events
• Serves, interacts, and is sensitive to the needs of the couples and guests
• Maintains cleanliness of kitchen and dining area, daily Observes and follows all Health Department
• Codes Attends and maintains Chemical Training

• Performs other duties as required

• Must be able to pass a Post Offer Prehire Physical exam
• Must be able to lift up to 30lbs
• Must be able to push/pull up to 25lbs
• Must be able to bend and reach above head
• Requires repetitive tasks/motions, good eye-hand-foot coordination, and good manual dexterity
• Some exposure to gases, odors, fumes, and sharp utensils

Prays personally for Focus on the Family’s staff and constituents and may occasionally lead in a public prayer

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of experience in food service preparation
• Must have Serve Safe Certification

• Strong customer service and people skills
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions
• Flexible in adjusting priorities
• Ability to work with various food preparation machines and equipment, sharp knives, and various chemicals

Salary Range: $15.00- $22.00 r.
