Job Summary

As an in‑store brand ambassador, you will sell industry‑leading connectivity solutions while creating lifelong customers through exceptional service. Your growth path includes support from leaders and peers to cultivate the skills needed to achieve sales goals and succeed in Optimum’s lucrative compensation plan.

Responsibilities
  • Connection Builder:
    Serve as the first point of contact, creating a welcoming environment; engage with customers, listen attentively, and provide personalized guidance to match products and services with their needs.
  • Store Expert:
    Maintain deep knowledge of Optimum products and services; stay updated on industry trends and educate customers on options, recommending solutions that meet their specific needs.
  • Problem Solver:
    Assist customers with billing and service questions, process payments, exchanges, and equipment issues accurately, and troubleshoot technical problems to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Brand Ambassador:
    Represent the Optimum brand with professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm in all customer interactions, reflecting positively on the company.
  • Team Builder:
    Collaborate closely with colleagues to deliver an exceptional customer experience; share knowledge, handle complex inquiries, and provide backup support when needed, fostering a supportive team environment.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of retail selling experience.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Motivated self‑starter able to work independently.
  • Proficient computer and technical skills to support customer solutions.
  • For some locations, travel to other stores within 35 miles may be required.
  • Physical abilities: ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Willingness to work full time, including weekends as necessary.
