Your role will focus on practical instruction and collaborative shop operations to ensure effective learning.
Reporting to the Associate Dean, you'll be involved in in-shop supervision and providing supplemental instruction for students who need assistance. This position requires a proactive approach in managing shop operations and safety protocols, while supporting both students and instructors to promote safer learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist instructors in enforcing safety and supervision
• Provide supplemental practical instruction to students
• Prepare shops for practical demonstrations and classes
• Manage equipment inventories and safety inspections
• Coordinate work placements and industry engagement
Requirements:
• Completion of college or university in skilled trades
• 1-3 years industry experience in a skilled trades environment
• Hands-on experience with tools and safety practices
• Forklift and tow motor certification an asset
• Criminal Background Check required for employment
