Experienced Building Operator

Convergint is seeking a skilled Building Operator in Brantford, ON, holding a 4th Class Power Engineering certificate. This FIFO role requires expertise in building systems and maintenance.

In this critical position at the Suncor Firebag site, you will manage daily building operations, engage in minor maintenance tasks, and ensure compliance with safety standards. You will work closely with both the operational team and occupants to maintain high service levels and operational efficiency. Your ability to address issues and communicate effectively will be vital.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct walkthroughs and identify building deficiencies

• Handle minor maintenance for HVAC and plumbing

• Coordinate with team members for operational improvements

• Maintain equipment logs as per guidelines

• Issue permits and manage shutdown/startup tasks

Requirements:

• Valid 4th Class Power Engineering certificate

• At least 5 years in a building operator role

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Proven experience with building operation systems

• Flexibility to respond to changing demands
