We are on the lookout for a compassionate and highly skilled Staff MD specializing in Oncology. This part-time opportunity allows you to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, focusing on personalized patient-centered cancer care in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Diagnose and stage various cancers through thorough clinical assessments, imaging, and laboratory tests.
- Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies.
- Monitor and manage patient progress, adjusting treatment protocols as necessary.
- Manage treatment-related side effects and provide supportive care to enhance patient quality of life.
- Educate patients and their families about their diagnosis, treatment options, and potential outcomes.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families throughout the cancer journey.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, radiologists, certified oncology nurses, nurse practitioners, and oncology navigators.
- Participate in clinical trials, research initiatives, and quality improvement projects.
- Stay current on clinical guidelines and treatment breakthroughs in oncology.
- Mentor healthcare staff in oncology-related practices.
- Contribute to patient care planning and department initiatives to improve outcomes and efficiency.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology - REQUIRED
- Clean Malpractice History - REQUIRED
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within the last 30 days) - REQUIRED
- Active Vermont License (to be obtained prior to start) - REQUIRED
- Completion of an accredited residency program in the U.S. or Canada - REQUIRED
- Active and clean licensing in the state of Vermont.
- NPDB report submitted during the application process.
