Patient Population:
Adult hospitalized patients with acute and chronic medical conditions in a rural community setting
Setting:
Inpatient hospitalist service within a community hospital
Responsibilities:
Provide admissions, rounding, and discharges; evaluate and manage medical conditions; respond to codes and rapid responses; ventilator management; coordinate care plans; collaborate with interdisciplinary teams; document care in EMR; participate in meetings and quality initiatives; patient and family education
Required Procedures:
No procedures required; ventilator management and code response required

Support Staff:
Specialists, primary care providers, nurses, respiratory therapists, CRNAs, emergency medicine physicians, ancillary services

On-Call/Weekends:
Rotating weekends and rotating call schedule
Submission Requirements:
- MD or DO from accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine)
- Active Vermont Medical License and DEA (prior to start)
- BLS & ACLS certification, ventilator management experience, and code response experience
