About the Position
Exciting Locum - Physician - Surgery - General Opportunity in Brattleboro, VT

Join a reputable community hospital as a Locum General Surgeon and make a meaningful impact in patient care while enjoying the scenic beauty of Vermont. This essential role offers the chance to work within a collaborative surgical team, providing comprehensive surgical services in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities:

Provide inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and wound care services

Perform general surgical procedures including abdominal, chest, vascular, and laparoscopic surgeries

Conduct endoscopies such as upper GI, lower GI, and colonoscopies

Collaborate with a team of experienced CRNAs, scrub techs, and nurses

Maintain high standards of patient safety and care in a Level 3 trauma facility

Required Skills:

Board Certified or Board Eligible MD/DO in Surgery

Proven experience in general surgical procedures

Strong clinical skills with the ability to handle diverse surgical cases

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Ability to adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment

Nice to Have

Skills:

Experience with pediatric surgical procedures

Familiarity with Cerner EMR system

Skills in complex or specialized surgical techniques

Preferred

Education and Experience:

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution

Completion of surgical residency training

Minimum of 2 years of post-residency surgical practice preferred

Other Requirements:

Credentialing process anticipated within 60-120 days

Must hold or be eligible for Vermont medical licensure

No local travel or flight arrangements necessary, as local candidates preferred

Professionally committed to maintaining certification and licensure standards

Earn a competitive hourly pay rate of $351.00, complemented by comprehensive benefits including weekly pay via direct deposit, medical coverage, licensure and certification reimbursement, and a supportive team dedicated to your success. Enjoy flexible scheduling M-F, 8 am-5 pm, with a call ratio of 1:4.
