The successful candidate will be able to effectively discuss how they work with historically marginalized demographic groups of students.

Academy School is looking for a dynamic instrumental/ band teacher for grades 4-6, one day per week on Thursdays. This .2 position will be a full day of band lessons, and full band time for grade 4 (beginning band) and grades 5/6. The person in this position works alongside the general music teacher, and will take a collaborative approach for band instruction, as well as planning and executing performances.

• Licensed or licensable in Music Education for grades K-6 in Vermont.
• Expertise in conducting bands and teaching digital music.
• Strong organizational skills to manage performances, rehearsals, and collaborations.
• Dedication to fostering a school environment where music is central to the community and student development.
