Responsibilities

The Branch Manager leads the branch team to achieve exceptional business results with a strong emphasis on leadership, staff development, deepening customer relationships, and community involvement. The role requires a proactive, customer‑centric approach to foster an environment of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement.

The Branch Manager administers the bank’s strategy for achieving annual goals related to loan growth, deposit growth, financial services, credit administration, and business development while ensuring full compliance with all policies, laws, and regulations.

Essential Duties Sales and Business Growth

Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve branch targets for deposits, loans, and other financial products. Mentor the team on advice‑giving strategies to improve customer financial confidence.

Spend time outside the branch for community engagement, meetings, and call planning activities.

Identify and pursue opportunities to acquire new customers through community involvement, networking, and targeted outreach.

Ensure all staff are knowledgeable about bank products and can cross‑sell to meet customer needs.

Monitor local market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and adjust strategies.

Leadership and Team Development

Inspire and motivate branch staff to achieve goals through positive reinforcement and a supportive leadership style.

Implement training programs to enhance staff skills and promote continuous learning.

Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and develop action plans for improvement.

Address and resolve team conflicts promptly and professionally.

Customer Relationship Management

Foster a customer‑first culture and handle all branch interactions with professionalism, empathy, and a focus on long‑term relationships.

Address customer complaints promptly, aiming to exceed expectations and maintain high satisfaction.

Engage with the local community to build the bank’s reputation through participation in events and organizations.

Collect and analyze customer feedback to improve branch services and experiences.

Operational Management

Oversee daily branch operations for efficiency, compliance, and adherence to policies.

Identify and mitigate risks associated with branch activities, maintaining a safe, secure environment.

Monitor financial performance and prepare regular reports for management.

Maintain knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and internal controls, and meet all training requirements.

Additional Duties

Perform other related duties as assigned to support branch and bank objectives.

Ancillary/Secondary Duties

Provide assistance to other branches as needed to support annual goals and maintain staffing levels.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
