Our Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides evidence‑based, group‑focused treatment for youth ages [e.g., 12 – 18] presenting with mood, anxiety, trauma‑related, and co‑occurring challenges. Services are delivered via secure telehealth and include structured group therapy, individual and family sessions, psychiatric collaboration, safety planning, and care coordination.

Job Summary

The Licensed Clinician delivers high‑quality, developmentally attuned care to adolescents and their families in a virtual IOP. Core functions include group facilitation, intake and risk assessment, individual/family therapy, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to drive measurable outcomes.

Qualifications
  • Master’s or Doctoral Degree in a mental health or counseling field (e.g., Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology).
  • Active independent clinical license in Vermont (e.g., LCSW, LICSW, LMFT, LMHC/LPC, Psychologist), with willingness to obtain licensure in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
  • Experience with adolescents in higher level of care settings (IOP/PHP, residential, acute) with a focus on group facilitation.
  • Demonstrated competence with ACT and DBT interventions, psychoeducation, and safety planning; comfort addressing depression, anxiety, acute presentations, high‑risk behaviors, school avoidance, and family dynamics.
  • Proficiency with telehealth platforms and EHR; strong verbal/written communication and timely documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Training/certification in DBT, ACT, MI, and/or trauma responsive care.
  • Experience with co‑occurring (substance use) and identity affirming care.
  • Familiarity with measurement‑based care tools (e.g., PHQ-9, GAD-7, and outcomes reporting).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Core Competencies
  • Group Treatment: Facilitate daily IOP groups using ACT/DBT informed, skills‑based, and trauma‑responsive curricula tailored to adolescents.
  • Individual & Family Therapy: Provide weekly individual and family sessions; utilize motivational, strengths‑based, and culturally responsive approaches.
  • Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct biopsychosocial intakes and level of care assessments, diagnostic formulation (DSM5-TR), risk/suicide assessments (e.g., CSSRS or program standard), and ongoing measurement‑based care.
  • Treatment Planning & Documentation: Create measurable goals; maintain timely notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries meeting payer, accreditation, and organizational standards.
  • Crisis Response: Deescalate, update safety plans, and arrange higher level of care when indicated; follow mandated reporting.
  • Care Coordination: Collaborate with schools, families and community providers; participate in treatment team meetings.
  • Quality & Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA, state telehealth regulations, clinical pathways, and outcome monitoring protocols; support utilization review needs.
  • Professional Development: Participate in supervision, case consultation, and continuing education; contribute to program improvement initiatives.
