Minimum of 5 years of experience as an RN, with recent experience in adult forensics and inpatient psychiatric care within the last 3 months.
License:
Active state or compact license
Certifications:
American Health Association BLS certification
Must-Have:
Recent adult forensics experience in the last 3 months is required.
Intensive and forensics psychiatric/behavioral health experience must be detailed on the resume.
Willingness to float to other units and take charge shifts is necessary.
Psych skills checklist from within the last year is required.
Two supervisory references from the last two years of employment are needed.
Description:
This position is within an adult forensics/intensive unit.
Candidates must be comfortable and highly experienced in the field.
It is essential to have the ability to start immediately with no exceptions.
The role involves working with a multidisciplinary team to identify individual and group needs and interventions.
Utilization of the nursing process is key to meeting the needs of patients requiring complex nursing care.
Clinical supervision of mental health workers is part of this role to ensure safe and therapeutic delivery of care.
The unit offers 24-hour care in a safe and nurturing environment designed to promote healing and ongoing recovery.
The treatment approach focuses on helping patients develop and maintain their sobriety while managing co-occurring psychiatric issues.
Specialized services provided include high-quality intervention, medically-assisted drug and alcohol withdrawal, stabilization, and necessary education for successful recovery.
Candidates must outline patient populations they have experience with in their application.
RTO cannot exceed 7 days.
Scheduling requests must be presented in the submission file.
Every other weekend availability is required.
