Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Radiology and the Medical Director, the MRI Technologist is responsible for performing MRI procedures. This position works at a technical level under limited supervision, independently performing MRI procedures. Procedures performed require independent judgment and initiative as well as a comprehensive understanding of MRI safety.

• Perform MRI procedures independently while maintaining patient safety.
• Transport patients as needed.
• Operate in limited space and adjust to bright or low‑light environments.
• Maintain accurate records and file documentation for extended periods.
• Carry out tasks requiring moderate manual manipulation and hand‑eye coordination such as data entry.

• Education
  :
  Completed an AMA approved program of Radiologic Technology with ARRT & MRI Registration.
• Experience
  :
  Previous MRI experience in a hospital setting.
• Licensure/Certification
  : ARRT Registry required; MRI Registry required;
  Certified in CPR;
  Venipuncture Certification required (obtained within 3 months of hire).

• Standing: up to 1/3 of the time
• Walking: up to 1/3 of the time
• Sitting: 2/3 or more of the time
• Talking or Hearing: 2/3 or more of the time
• Use of hands: up to 1/3 of the time
• Weight lifting: up to 10 pounds – 2/3 or more; up to 25 pounds – 1/3 to 1/2; up to 50 pounds – up to 1/3; none above 100 pounds.
• Vision: requires close, color, and focus vision.

• Exposure to electrical, electromagnetic, and laboratory hazards.
• Potential exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
• Work near moving mechanical parts (up to 1/3 of the time).
• Fumes or airborne particles (up to 1/3 of the time).
• Risk of vibration, toxic chemicals, and extreme temperatures – none.
• Typical noise level: moderate to loud.
• Hearing: able to hear calls and instructions.

Min: $41.00 — Mid: $45.00 — Max: $48.99 per hour.
