- Provide inpatient hospitalist coverage with a focus on adult patients
- Respond to urgent codes and rapid responses, managing stabilization of critically ill patients
- Manage ventilator and step-down level patients when experienced
- Collaborate with nursing, ED, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Document patient care efficiently using Cerner Community Works EMR with AI scribe support
- Coordinate patient discharges with case management team
- Valid Physician Assistant license in Vermont or ability to obtain
- Prior inpatient/hospitalist experience preferred
- Strong clinical skills in stabilization and acute care management
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team
This role is based at a small, friendly community hospital in Brattleboro, VT. You will join a collegial team committed to providing high-quality inpatient care. The hospital offers a supportive environment with experienced nursing and medical staff, including overnight hospitalists and strong case management support to facilitate efficient patient discharges.
