Program OverviewThe Advanced Manufacturing Opportunity is an 18‑month training program offered by the G.S. Precision School of Manufacturing Technology in partnership with Vermont Technical College. Participants will work full‑time with the company while attending evening classes, earning 10 college credits toward Vermont State University’s Engineering Technology degree. The training combines hands‑on machining instruction, formal classroom education, and a registered apprenticeship that rotates through multiple operational areas.
ProgramDetails
Participants will work 32 hours per week (with the possibility of up to 40 hours and overtime) at G.S. Precision while completing structured training. The program is designed to develop advanced machinists, and depending on aptitude, produce high‑level skilled setup machinists for aerospace manufacturing.
Applicants must pass mechanical and math aptitude exams administered by Vermont State University and succeed in a formal interview process.
Schedule & CompensationFull‑time, 32 hours per week (up to 40 hours and overtime allowed). Salary range: $18.00 – $24.00 per hour.
