Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse required. Recent general adult experience in the last 3 months is required. Inpatient psychiatric experience must be within the last 3 months.

License:
Active Vermont Registered Nurse license required.

Certifications:

American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Must-Have:
Candidates must be highly experienced and comfortable in an adult inpatient behavioral health setting. Must be willing to float to other units and take charge shifts. Must have a resume that includes psychiatric experience and all age groups listed.

Description:

Works with the multidisciplinary team to identify individual and group needs and interventions. Utilizes the nursing process to meet the needs of patients requiring complex nursing care. Provides clinical supervision of Mental Health Workers to ensure safe and therapeutic delivery of care. Offers 24-hour care in a safe and nurturing environment designed to promote healing and ongoing recovery. Focuses on helping patients develop and maintain their sobriety while managing co-occurring psychiatric issues, such as depression and anxiety disorders.

Specializes in providing high-quality intervention, medically assisted drug and alcohol withdrawal, stabilization, and education for strong recovery. Scheduling requests should be presented and recorded. Other required documentation includes a psych skills checklist from within the last year and two supervisory references from the last two years of employment. Crisis intervention training will be offered onsite. Identifying patient populations the candidate has experience with is necessary.

RTO blackout dates apply. Every other weekend availability is expected.
