Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner – Hospitalist – Brattleboro, VT

- End Date: Ongoing, with no current limit for the right candidate
- Shift: Monday-Friday, 9 am – 6 pm
- Hours/Week: 40 hours/week
- Employment Type: Locum/Temporary
- License/Certs: Vermont license required; board certification preferred
- Experience: Prior hospitalist or inpatient experience helpful
- Competitive hourly pay (discussed upon application)
- Weekly pay via direct deposit

- Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable
- 24/7 dedicated team support throughout your assignment
- Respond to codes and rapid response calls
- Manage inpatient and observation patients, including ventilator management (preferred)
- Stabilize critically ill patients and coordinate transfer to tertiary care facilities
- Provide comprehensive adult inpatient care in a community hospital setting
- Collaborate with nursing, ED, and surgical teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Document patient encounters accurately using Cerner Community Works EMR and AI scribe support
- Manage a patient load of approximately 8–10 patients per day
- Vermont Nurse Practitioner license (or eligibility)
- Nurse Practitioner certification in relevant specialty; hospitalist experience preferred
- Ability to manage adult inpatient and observation care
- Strong clinical skills in acute patient stabilization and ventilator management (preferred)
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
This assignment is located at a small, friendly community hospital in Brattleboro, Vermont. The facility features supportive nursing staff, a collegial environment, and a dedicated case management team to assist with patient discharges. The hospital maintains a strong overnight hospitalist team, ensuring comprehensive coverage and collaborative care.
