Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist in Brattleboro, VT

- Start Date: 09/17/2026
- End Date: Ongoing from December 2026 (Flexible extended coverage possible)
- Shift: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Hours/Week: Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Employment Type: Locum/Temporary
- License/Certifications: Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Vermont required (or eligible)
- Experience: Prior inpatient hospitalist experience preferred

- 24/7 dedicated support team to assist throughout your assignment
- Manage adult inpatient and observation patients, approximately 8–10 patients daily
- Respond to codes and rapid responses promptly
- Manage ventilator and step-down level patients, including stabilization of critically ill patients
- Coordinate patient care, discharge planning, and patient transports when needed
- Document patient encounters accurately using Cerner Community Works EMR with AI scribe support
- Collaborate with nursing, emergency department, and surgical teams in a friendly community hospital setting
Required:
- Vermont Nurse Practitioner license or eligibility
- Experience in inpatient and hospitalist settings (preferred)
- Strong clinical skills in managing adult acute care patients
- Ability to respond rapidly in emergency situations
- Ventilator management experience
- Experience with step-down or intermediate level care
