Compensation

Pay Range: $14.01 - $20.00 (actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location). Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance bonuses, or premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Job Overview

The Retail Service Specialist supports the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. In the absence of Assistant or Store Manager, the specialist will assume shift management responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
  • Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom and ensure team members execute on customer service programs such as Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, and Rock the Lot.
  • Ensure telephones are answered in accordance with company policy.
  • Process buy online/ship to store, hub-to-store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner, and contact customers upon shipment arrivals.
  • Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and in accordance with procedure, using the electronic outside purchase order ledger.
  • Process and, if applicable, issue refunds for retail customer returns and exchanges using correct payment methods, and stage returned merchandise correctly in the returns area.
  • Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
  • Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure team members adhere to the posted work schedule and that any deviations are approved by management; verify that team members clock in and out according to company policy.
  • Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day‑end procedures, verifying/securing money and deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring night security lights are on, locking doors and securing the building, arming/disarming security alarms, and checking and securing delivery vehicle(s) parked in a designated area.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems and repair, ASE Certification.
  • Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
