Position Summary:
The ASL driver operates heavy-duty trucks and is responsible for collecting residential household waste or recyclable materials. The driver will transport the material to a disposal, transfer, or recycling facility when trucks reach legal load capacity. The driver safely maneuvers vehicles in residential environments. Navigate high traffic and congested roadways, driveways, alleyways, and lots.

- Operates vehicles in accordance with the Occupational and Safety Health Act (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). as well as all local, state, and federal laws.
- Perform pre-and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles and document checks utilizing the standards Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR).
- Immediately report all unsafe situations or service-related issues to the Route Manager or Dispatch.
- Attends and participates in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as required by the Company.
- Works closely with the Route Manager to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.
- Notifies the Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
- Notifies the Route Manager or Dispatch of service interruptions, including closed or impassable streets or alleyways, receptacles, too heavy to service, or potential safety hazards.
- Communicates customer requests to Dispatch or Route Manager.
- Completely dumps all receptacles and leaves the customer's location clean and free of debris.
- Follows route assignments as directed and completes end-of-day documentation and check-out process.
- Performs all duties as scheduled by the Route Manager or Dispatch and assists other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.
- Works with leadership to implement strategies for community and municipal outreach.
- Maintains reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal, state, and local standards.

- Exceptional driving skills
- Ability to read and write logs, reports, orders, and maps. Etc.
- Hold a current Class A or B Commercial Driver's License.
- Class A or B Commercial Driver's license with an air-brake endorsement is a plus.
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Acceptable driving record
- Able to meet all Department of Transportation requirements.
- Basic mechanical knowledge.

- Sign-on bonus of up to $3000, depending on experience
- Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) for most of the workday.
- Required to exert physical effort in handling objects less than 40 pounds.
- Ability to stand frequently.
- Required to be exposed to physical and occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc.).
- Required to be exposed to a physical environment that involves dirt, odor, noise, weather extremes, or similar elements.
