Porter, Warehouse

Position Details

Compensation: $19.00 per hour.

Shift: 1st Shift after training Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday. No travel required.

Location:

47 Old Ferry Road, Brattleboro VT, 05301.

• Clean and maintain warehouse aisles and product slots.
• Clean spills including damaged product, oil, grease, broken glass, etc. May require use of sawdust, brooms, mops, or shovels.
• Clean slots with cleaning supplies and an electric scrubber, and replace product.
• Occasionally pull product out of the slot with a pallet jack and clean behind it with the proper supplies and a scrubber.
• Clean break areas and offices when necessary.
• Collect and baling plastic wrap throughout the shift.
• Sweep, mop, buff and wax floors. Vacuum carpeted offices/working areas.
• Clean bathrooms. (May be required to use bleach products.)
• Collect shredded paper, empty boxes, collect paper to be taken to compactor, and empty trash cans.
• Clean fire extinguishers, clean windows, ensure lights are turned off and doors are locked when appropriate.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

  Perishable Warehouse (28°F to 60°F).

  Grocery Warehouse (50°F to 90°F).

• Specialized knowledge:
  Ability to operate pallet jack and other required materials handling equipment (MHE), and to operate a battery hoist.
• Special skills:
  Demonstrates commitment and ability to work safely.
• Reliability:
  Show reliability and maintain satisfactory attendance; produce quality work; maintain required productivity/work expectations; use necessary cleaning supplies; excellent time‑management skills.
• Physical abilities:
  Never balancing (?), occasionally climbing up to 4 ft.; must have fall‑protection training and use of proper fall‑protection equipment; frequently standing, walking, sitting, stooping, reaching (waist/overhead); frequently handling, carrying, pushing, lifting, pulling up to 60 lbs; continuous sight, hearing, and repetitive movement using both hands and feet; stand or walk on concrete floors during the scheduled shift, with occasional overtime.
