A mission-driven community health organization in Brawley, California is seeking a Staff Physician to deliver high-quality outpatient medical care in a collaborative, team-based environment. This role focuses on comprehensive primary care services for a diverse patient population, emphasizing continuity of care, chronic disease management, and preventive medicine.
Working closely with Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and interdisciplinary care teams, the Staff Physician plays a vital role in supporting patient-centered medical home (PCMH) principles, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory compliance efforts.
Schedule & Setting- Full-time, exempt position
- Outpatient clinic setting
- Monday–Friday schedule (with flexibility as needed)
- Rotates between clinic locations as required
- Community-based, patient-centered medical home model
- Provide comprehensive outpatient medical care including examinations, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up
- Manage acute and chronic conditions with a focus on long-term health outcomes
- Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough clinical documentation
- Coordinate care with specialists and arrange referrals as needed
- Participate in daily team huddles and interdisciplinary meetings
- Support audits and compliance with state and federal regulations
- Serve as a preceptor for medical students and NP/PA students when requested
- Collaborate with nursing leadership to implement clinical policies and PCMH workflows
- Supervise Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants as assigned
- Competitive base salary: $330K–$350K
- Sign-on bonus up to $30,000
