Job 1:
Purchasing Coordinator / Shop Floor Planner

Summary:

Prepares and coordinates activities between shop floor, process, and product planning groups.

Responsibilities
  • Reviews dispatches/work orders daily and works with the shop and purchasing to ensure raw materials are ordered timely.
  • Purchases and coordinates outplant materials and non‑inventory items as assigned by planning or purchasing manager. This includes ensuring correct cost, reconciling open order reports and working on discrepancies with receiving and/or accounting and filing purchase orders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between maintenance, operations, and external vendors. Includes but not limited to shopping, quoting and purchasing items for maintenance department as well as setting and maintaining vendor schedules for preventive maintenance and machines down.
  • Open work orders as assigned by process or product planning.
  • Enter tracking for critical components.
  • Reschedule work centers for gateway, weld and final assembly per direction of process/product planners.
  • Sort and file all work orders coming back from records department.
  • Provide clerical support for environmental reporting as assigned by Planning Manager and/or Executive Vice President.

  • Two‑year associate’s degree and/or 2‑4 years related experience and/or training.

Job 2:
Procurement Coordinator

Summary:

Coordinates the procurement of goods and services—raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies—for a custom equipment manufacturer, effectively executing the necessary duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Issue Purchase Orders to assigned suppliers for the procurement of goods and services.
  • Provide daily support for various departments requiring purchasing assistance.
  • Draft and issue Requests for Quotes (RFQs) for Service Parts, Planning, and Engineering needs.
  • Develop a strong understanding of materials and sources of supply to optimize purchasing decisions.
  • Act as an Expeditor to work closely with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of Purchase Orders.
  • Resolve price discrepancies between Purchase Orders and vendor invoices.
  • Match supplier acknowledgments to Purchase Orders and update costs and lead times within the Integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (IERP) system.
  • Review all Non‑Conformance Material Reports (NCMRs) assigned to the Buyer, managing the return process for defective items to suppliers for replacements or credits.
  • Manage open Purchase Order reports for assigned suppliers, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Review Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) related to purchased items and issue Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) when vendor updates are required.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments while working with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records in the IERP system and exhibit strong computer skills.
  • Handle emergency purchasing requirements effectively and efficiently.
  • Report directly to the Purchasing Department Supervisor and maintain responsibility for the quality of purchased materials.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support department goals and objectives.
