Job SummaryThe Finance/Accounting Intern will assist the Accounting/Finance team in carrying out various accounting programs and procedures as part of the company's internship program.
Main Responsibilities- Assist with month end and quarterly closings, financial reporting, and budgeting
- Assist with accounts receivable, payable, and bank statement reconciliations
- Assist with Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Perform data entry into accounting systems such as JD Edwards, Citrix/Heavy Job, ADRA, and On Base
- Run & Build Financial Reports
- Participate in various Special Projects as directed by the Controllers, Payroll Manager or CFO
- Assist the Accounting department with other general accounting functions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Must be currently enrolled in a relevant degree program, including accounting, finance, or business administration
Skills- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred
- A basic understanding of Accounting principles
- Excellent Communication skills
- The ability to work well with all levels of the organization
- A demeanor for making continuous improvements of department processes
- Ability to utilize hands and fingers in order to type and carry reports should the need require
- Ability to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands throughout the workday should the need arise
- Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch should the need arise
- Ability to sit for a long period of time, possibly more than 90% of the workday
- Ability to see clearly or with assistance via necessary correction
