Position Overview:Are you an operationally disciplined administrative professional looking to grow your career within the financial services sector? A premier banking institution is seeking a detailed-oriented Loan Support Clerk to join their back-office operations center in Brea, CA.
This critical role provides essential administrative and clerical infrastructure to the high-volume loan processing and servicing teams. Your primary mission will be maintaining flawless file integrity, executing precise high-speed data entry, and validating borrower documentation to ensure a seamless post-origination pipeline.
Core Responsibilities:Document Lifecycle Management: Systematically process, sort, index, and archive high-volume loan files, applications, trailing disclosures, and incoming banking correspondence.
File Auditing & Verification: Methodically audit physical and digital loan packets to verify the absolute completeness, compliance, and accuracy of mandatory borrower information.
System Maintenance: Update internal loan origination and servicing software engines with real-time application status changes, payment notifications, and precise account audit notes.
Data & Clerical Support: Execute rapid, accurate data entry, oversee high-volume document scanning/imaging procedures, and prepare routine daily operational reports.
Cross-Functional Liaison: Address and resolve internal or external inquiries regarding document status, and support loan officers and core processors with necessary clerical tasks and customer follow-ups.
Skills & Requirements:Experience: 1+ years of experience operating within a financial service, banking operations, or high-volume administrative support environment.
Domain Familiarity: Baseline understanding of loan documentation life cycles, mortgage/commercial terminology, or standardized bank clerical procedures.
Operational Precision: Strong structural attention to detail with a proven track record of maintaining high data accuracy under tight processing deadlines.
Technical Toolkit: Proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable navigating enterprise electronic document management systems (EDMS).
Communication: Crisp written and verbal communication skills paired with strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities on an active operations floor.
