Position SummaryWe are looking for a Director, Portfolio Growth Strategy who will be responsible for shaping the company’s short-, mid-, and long-term growth direction through clear portfolio strategy, prioritization, and trade‑off decisions. This role owns the growth strategy narrative and portfolio logic that guide innovation, new business development, partnerships, and investment decisions. The Director ensures growth choices are deliberate, capability‑aligned, and forward‑looking—rather than opportunistic or reactive.
Reporting to the VP of Strategy & Intelligence, this role partners closely with R&D, Innovation, Finance, Commercial, and Regional teams to ensure strategy consistently informs where and how the company chooses to grow.
- Develop and maintain a clear growth strategy narrative across short‑ (1–2 year) and long‑term (3–7 year) horizons
- Define strategic growth themes and where‑to‑play priorities
- Translate enterprise and regional direction into actionable portfolio choices
- Build and manage a portfolio view of growth opportunities, spanning core, adjacent, and future platforms. Apply consistent criteria to assess opportunities based on:
- Strategic fit
- Feasibility (R&D, operations, go‑to‑market)
- Long‑term growth potential
- Drive explicit trade‑offs and prioritization decisions to focus resources
- Partner closely with R&D, Innovation, Commercial, and Finance leaders to ensure alignment with strategy
- Provide strategy‑first input into:
Innovation pipeline prioritization, new business exploration, partnerships, and M&A discussions
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Strategy, Economics, Engineering, or related field (MBA or Master’s preferred)
- 10–15+ years of experience in strategy, portfolio management, corporate strategy, or growth leadership roles
- Proven experience defining and driving portfolio‑level growth strategies
- Strong ability to frame trade‑offs and influence senior decision‑makers
- Experience working cross‑functionally with R&D, innovation, and commercial teams
- Comfort operating across multiple time horizons and ambiguity
- Experience in CPG, food & beverage, or consumer‑driven industries
- Background in both strategy and operating roles
- Experience supporting innovation pipelines, new business creation, or M&A strategy
- International or Americas regional experience
- Exposure to capability‑led or R&D‑driven growth models
- Hands on Trends, Foresight, Future Forecasting and Predictive Modeling experience
The base salary for this position is between $ and $ per year. Actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience, and location. This position may also be eligible for additional compensation and benefits, including an annual incentive bonus, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, PTO/FTO, and a 401(k) plan with company match.
