Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) will lead strategic evaluation, execution, and integration of inorganic growth opportunities across the company’s portfolio. Reporting into the Portfolio Strategy team, this role partners closely with Corporate Development, Finance, Legal, R&D, and Commercial leaders to assess acquisition targets, structure deals, and ensure strategic value creation post-close. The Mergers & Acquisition role works directly with executive leadership to shape enterprise growth priorities and translate long-term strategy into actionable initiatives across marketing, R&D, and commercial teams.
This role is designed for a strategic thinker and operator who can identify opportunities based on clear analytical frameworks and collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure that Samyang’s portfolio strategy and sustainable growth model supports the organization’s growth ambitions.
- Lead end-to-end M&A activities including target identification, business case development, valuation, diligence, and deal execution.
- Develop strategic rationales for acquisitions aligned to portfolio and long-range growth strategies.
- Own financial and strategic modeling, including synergies and integration value creation plans.
- Coordinate cross-functional diligence work streams and manage external advisors.
- Support post-merger integration strategy, governance, and KPI tracking in partnership with integration leads.
- Provide insights to executive leadership on market trends, competitive landscape, and pipeline prioritization.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to best-practice M&A processes.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of experience, preferably in business management, M&A, corporate development, strategy consulting, investment banking, insights & analytics or related fields.
- Strong experience with financial modeling, valuation techniques, and deal structuring.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Executive-level communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in consumer goods, healthcare, food and beverages, life sciences, or technology-driven industries.
- Prior exposure to post-merger integration or operating model design.
- Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Strategic thinking and sound judgment.

The base salary for this position is between $120,000 and $140,000 per year. Actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience, and location. This position may also be eligible for additional compensation and benefits, including an annual incentive bonus, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, PTO/FTO, and a 401(k) plan with company match.
