Senior Estimator

Overview

Vincor Construction specializes in complex healthcare construction projects, including OSHPD / HCAI-regulated work. Our success depends on disciplined pre-construction, accurate estimating, and trusted execution. As our pipeline grows, we’re investing in building a world-class estimating function.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator who can independently review plans, understand the full project scope, and critically evaluate subcontractor bids to ensure true apples-to-apples comparisons.

This is not a data-entry estimating role. This person will be a strategic partner in pre-construction and will help establish estimating standards, track historical costs, and align subcontractors across projects.

• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work (healthcare / OSHPD / HCAI projects).
• Perform detailed take-offs and cost estimates for commercial healthcare projects.
• Analyze and level subcontractor bids to confirm scope alignment and pricing accuracy.
• Identify scope gaps, overlaps, exclusions, and inconsistencies before bid submission.
• Track bids, subcontractor proposals, and estimating workflows in Procore
  .
• Develop and maintain a centralized historical cost database to support future estimates and pricing decisions.
• Vet, onboard, and manage relationships with subcontractors; bring existing trusted subs where applicable.
• Actively source and qualify new subcontractors by trade.
• Collaborate closely with business development and project leadership during pre-construction.
• Continuously improve estimating processes, templates, and standards.

• 5+ years of hands-on estimating experience in commercial construction.
• Direct experience with healthcare projects
  ; OSHPD / HCAI experience strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to read plans and specs independently (this is not an assistant role).
• Demonstrated experience in leveling subcontractor bids and validating scope.
• Experience using Procore for bid tracking and pre-construction workflows.
• Strong Excel skills and experience building cost models or historical pricing sheets.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and accountable.

• Established subcontractor relationships in Southern California.
• Experience in improving or building estimating systems from the ground up.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam, Plan Swift, or similar take-off tools.

• Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 base

• Bonus potential based on performance and accuracy
