Key Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with customers via phone and email communication to resolve issues and ensure high satisfaction.
  • Answer phones promptly in a high‑volume support setting.
  • Process customer orders via phone, standing orders, field service orders, replacement orders, fax orders, and electronic data interchange (EDI).
  • Support sales and field representatives by responding to inquiries, placing orders, and providing proof of delivery as needed.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency, both for the department and individually.
  • Be knowledgeable on products and special projects as deemed vital by the manager.
  • Communicate timely and accurately and establish and maintain good working relationships with upper management and internal departments (Field Service, Sales, Finance, Bids & Contracts, HR, IT).
Position Requirements
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office 2000 or later, including Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Basic math skills and statistical knowledge.
  • Proficient at keyboard entry; prior experience entering orders while on the phone is a plus.
  • Excellent multitasking and problem‑solving abilities.
  • 1–3 years of customer service experience required.
  • High school graduate required; associate degree preferred.
  • Primary language:
    English.
  • Little to no travel required.
