Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate)

• Location: Brea, CA 92821
• Schedule:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM

• Hours: 20 hours/week
• Assignment: ASAP – 5/28/2027
• Caseload: Currently being finalized; expected to be 10–12 students maximum
• Certification: Mild/Moderate Special Education credential with EL Certification required

$53–58+/hr based on experience (W-2)

• Provide specialized instruction and support to 7th–8th grade students receiving Mild/Moderate Special Education services
• Develop and implement individualized instructional strategies based on student needs
• Support students in meeting IEP goals and academic objectives
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and school personnel
• Monitor student progress and maintain appropriate documentation
• Provide a structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

• Valid California credential/authorization for Mild/Moderate Special Education
• EL Certification required
• Experience working with middle school students preferred
• Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff and related service providers

This is a part-time middle school Special Education opportunity with a manageable anticipated caseload of 10–12 students
, a consistent weekday morning schedule, and competitive W-2 compensation. This role is a strong fit for a Special Education Teacher looking for a predictable schedule while making a direct impact on students in grades 7–8.
