Our client, a leading organization in building operations and maintenance, is seeking an Operating Engineer to join their Facilities Management Department supporting building systems and mechanical operations.

• Oversee and monitor the operation of refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, and hot water systems, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform routine inspections, tests, and data analysis to maintain the proper functioning of building systems and equipment.
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing, piping, electrical controls, and mechanical equipment, including pumps, motors, and compressors.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on critical building systems, ensuring minimal disruption and adherence to safety standards.
• Maintain detailed logs, document repairs, and communicate effectively with management and team members regarding system status and issues.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional trade schooling or college coursework preferred.
• Minimum of four years’ experience in electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, or emergency backup systems.
• Skilled in the use of tools and machinery relevant to building maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and local building codes.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, excellent communication, and a team‑oriented attitude.
