Job Summary
The Senior Electrical Engineer (Test) provides hands‑on design in developing test equipment for all phases of electrical and electromechanical projects. This individual has a significant impact on product innovation, cost, schedule, and feature set. This individual will retain technical ownership of test equipkment throughout the design, development, production, and support phases.
Duties and Responsibilities- Work as part of project development teams to understand the products to be tested
- Architect, design, prototype, verify and document complex test equipment for development, qualification, and production testing of RAVE products
- Select suppliers for COTS items
- Design printed circuit boards such as development breakout boards and custom test equipment interfaces
- Design cabling for connection to units under test and internal to equipment
- Integrate test equipment with Manufacturing Software
- Work with the team on project schedules to ensure test equipment is available on time
- Interface with regulatory testing agencies to secure approvals such as FCC and CE
- Provide support to factory in resolving production test issues
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field
- 6+ years of experience working in similar role
- Well versed in electromagnetic compatibility regulatory requirements and mitigation of problems found during testing
- Proven track record in meeting project goals and objectives
- Experience in the In‑Flight Entertainment (IFE, IFEC) industry, avionics industry
The starting pay range for this position is $112,500 to $127,000 per year however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job‑related knowledge and location.
