INTERNATIONAL CODE COUNCIL INC is seeking a Staff Engineer for Evaluation Services in our Professional, Scientific & Technical Services organization. In this role, you will review, analyze, and interpret building products, systems, and materials for compliance with ICC model codes and standards. You will prepare technical evaluation reports, coordinate with manufacturers, labs, and regulators, and provide expert guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
Working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment, you will support safe, sustainable construction practices and contribute to innovation in the built environment, with opportunities for professional growth and cross-functional impact.
Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate building products, systems, and materials for compliance with ICC codes and standards.
- Perform engineering analyses and calculations to support technical determinations.
- Prepare clear, detailed technical evaluation reports and documentation.
- Collaborate with manufacturers, testing laboratories, and regulatory agencies to gather and verify data.
- Provide technical guidance to internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders on code compliance.
- Monitor revisions to codes, standards, and regulations impacting evaluation services.
- Support process improvements, innovation, and quality assurance within evaluation services.
- Participate in cross-functional projects that advance ICC's mission of safe, sustainable construction.
