Job Overview

As an Assistant Controller at Stanley Black & Decker in Brea, CA, you will partner with site leaders to influence operational decisions and drive financial performance across multiple P&Ls in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

• Key member of the finance and plant leadership teams, acting as a strategic partner to drive business results.
• Collaborate closely with site leadership to influence operational decisions, drive continuous improvement, and ensure financial health.
• Lead site cost accounting activities, provide analytical insights and business partnership to achieve plant objectives.
• Support accurate financial statements for multiple P&Ls, ensuring compliance and alignment with business objectives.
• Own daily and weekly variance tracking, delivering insights on PPV, labor efficiency, and volume variances.
• Support planning, budgeting, forecasting, month‑end and quarterly closing, and SOX compliance.
• Champion process excellence by standardizing and improving business processes and eliminating waste.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 7–10 years in a manufacturing environment with proven experience as a business partner to operations and leadership teams.
• Proficiency in ERP (JD Edwards, HFM), advanced Excel, Power BI, and P&L ownership.
• Collaborative, influential partner able to align finance and operations, drive cross‑functional initiatives, and deliver results.
• High integrity, continuous improvement mindset, service‑oriented approach, and strong communication skills.

Competitive base salary (California range $85,400 – $137,540 per year) plus sign‑on payment at the discretion of the role.
