Job Description:
Responsibilities / Duties:- Lead and support month‑end close activities, ensuring all fixed asset‑related financial reporting deadlines are met with accuracy and compliance
- Process asset capitalization, depreciation, transfers, impairments, and disposals in accordance with ASC 360
- Maintain fixed asset subledgers in Oracle and SAP
- Schedule CIP review with project managers on a quarterly basis
- Collaborate with project managers, finance and operations to ensure capital projects are accurately tracked, properly classified, and in good financial standing
- Prepare journal entries and reconciliations related to fixed assets
- Monitor capital project activity and ensure proper accounting treatment
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOX requirements, and audit protocols
- Prepare audit schedules and support internal and external audit requests
- Maintain documentation for asset policies and procedures
- Collaborate with IT to implement system enhancements and automation initiatives
- Lead process improvement initiatives to gain efficiencies
- Assist with special projects and create ad‑hoc reports and analysis if necessary
- 1+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in fixed assets or general ledger
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent
- Must reside within a commutable distance to Brea, CA. This is NOT a remote opportunity
- Public audit experience a plus
- MBA and/or CPA is a plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (especially Excel)
- Large company experience with sophisticated ERP system (SAP, Oracle and Hyperion (HFM) a plus)
- Working knowledge of GAAP and SOX
- Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and do what it takes to meet deadlines
- Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and solve problems independently
- Outstanding written and verbal communications, analytical, planning, and teamwork skills
