We are seeking a detail‑oriented and experienced Manufacturing Controller to oversee financial operations within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support decision‑making processes and improve operational efficiency.
Main Responsibilities- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Develop, implement, and monitor budgeting and forecasting processes
- Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and provide actionable insights
- Collaborate with operations and management teams to enhance cost control measures
- Oversee inventory management and cost accounting processes
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
- Lead financial audits and coordinate with external auditors
- Provide financial support for capital projects and investment decisions
- Mentor and lead a team of finance professionals"
- Maintain and develop internal control procedures
- Uphold Colas ethics and business principles
- Ad hoc projects and reporting as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
A bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in accounting, finance or other applicable degree
Skills- At least 7 years of accounting work experience is acceptable for this position
- Construction industry accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of both GAAP and IFRS including revenue recognition and lease accounting standards; previous experience managing a small team; ideal candidate will have CPA and/or CMA certification
- Excellent time management and organization skills with the ability to prioritize and follow up on multiple concurrent tasks
- Must possess excellent skills with Microsoft Windows and MS Office Suite, particularly Outlook and Excel (intermediate level)
- Experience with JDE, Sage, Timberline, or other enterprise construction industry software a plus
- Highly motivated, positive, professional, organized, detail oriented, and an effective communicator
- Ability to utilize hands and fingers in order to type and carry reports if needed
- Ability to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands throughout the workday if needed
- Ability to sit for a long period of time, possibly more than 90% of the workday
- Ability to see clearly or with assistance via necessary correction
