We are looking for an experienced recruiter to join our Human Resources team. The recruiter will be responsible for full cycle recruitment on operations and support roles, with a focus on sourcing and attracting top construction industry talent. This role will collaborate with hiring managers and human resources team members to strategically identify, recruit and hire strong talent that will align with and contribute to our growing company.

The recruiter will play a critical role in building a pipeline of skilled talent to meet Griffith Company’s current and future staffing needs.

Essential Functions
  • Consult with hiring managers to understand their staffing priorities and to advise on suitable recruiting strategies.
  • Manage full cycle recruiting, including sourcing and screening candidates, facilitating interviews with hiring managers and sending out offers to candidates.
  • Actively source and attract candidates through a variety of methods: job boards, hiring platforms, employee and industry referrals, career/job fairs, social media, etc.
  • Assess candidates through application/resume reviews and phone screens.
  • Coordinate phone, virtual and in-person interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Facilitate a positive candidate experience through timely and accurate communication, responsiveness to questions and a professional demeanor.
  • Conduct reference checks for candidates who are in the latter stages of the hiring process.
  • Communicate with candidates during the offer stage: extending verbal offers, preparing and sending offer letters, following up as necessary to learn offer decisions.
  • Engage with third party recruiters as necessary to fill job openings.
  • Lead management of company’s applicant tracking system.
  • Build and nurture a robust talent pipeline through continued engagement of previous candidates and frequent outreach to passive candidates.
  • Assist with oversight of company’s employee referral program.
  • Stay up to date on recruiting trends, resources and best practices, and share as necessary with human resource team members and hiring managers.
  • Ensure recruiting effectiveness through candidate tracking, metrics analysis and reporting (e.g. time-to-fill, quality of hire), process improvement recommendations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability
  • Minimum of 3 years of corporate or agency recruiting experience. Construction or engineering recruiting experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of recruiting processes, best practices and tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective in sourcing and engaging candidates for a variety of job roles (especially in construction).
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with hiring managers.
  • Capacity to handle recruiting for a high volume of roles.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and hiring platforms like Linked In Recruiter and Indeed. Experience with  or similar ATS is a plus.
  • Comfortable working in a team environment, but also independently.
  • Capable of maintaining confidentiality.

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field is desired.
  • Work experience may be substituted for education.
