Jr Application Support Engineer (Word Press, PHP, Symfony)

Our client is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Jr Application Support Engineer to join their team. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between business operations and the IT department, ensuring seamless communication and effective resolution of technical challenges related to key applications. The ideal candidate will possess foundational knowledge of CRM systems, experience with platforms such as Word Press and Symfony, and demonstrate strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across various departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • CRM Application Support: Provide support for Microsoft CRM inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and escalating complex problems related to CRM software integrations.
  • Business & IT Liaison: Act as a communication bridge between business stakeholders and the IT team, translating technical issues into understandable language.
  • Web Portal Application Support: Support web portal applications built on PHP (Symfony) and Word Press, troubleshooting issues and escalating complex matters.
  • Incident Management: Monitor and resolve support tickets related to CRM and web applications, collaborating with senior IT staff.
  • Documentation: Maintain technical documentation on application configurations, workflows, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Training Support: Provide user guidance and training on application features and troubleshooting basics.
  • Issue Tracking & Reporting: Track recurring issues, analyze root causes, and report on ongoing technical issues and resolutions.
  • Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in application or IT support involving troubleshooting and supporting users of software applications.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems; exposure to Jira is beneficial.

    Skills:

    Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to convey technical info to non-technical audiences.
  • Problem-Solving

    Skills:

    Strong analytical skills to identify issues and implement solutions efficiently.
  • Attention to Detail: Accurate documentation of issues and resolutions.
  • Customer Service: Commitment to providing high-quality support to users.
  • Preferred

    Skills:
  • CRM Knowledge: Understanding of CRM systems like Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM integrations.
  • Basic Web Application Development and SDLC concepts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • This is a 6-12 month contract position, with potential for extension. Candidates must be local to Brea, CA / Anaheim, CA metro. No C2C arrangements.
