We are looking for an experienced, customer‑service‑oriented Data Analyst to join our Information Technology team. The Data Analyst will design data modeling and analysis services to mine enterprise systems and applications for knowledge that enhances business processes. This role includes building, deploying, and maintaining data support tools, metadata inventories, and definitions for database file/table creation. The analyst will lead data quality prevention efforts by developing and monitoring data quality metrics, providing feedback to business units, and delivering training to facilitate this goal.

ESSENTIAL

FUNCTIONS Strategy & Planning
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain required data management environments in response to business needs.
  • Develop data models and pipelines for ingesting production data from a variety of sources and source types.
  • Assist in the creation of data management and data quality policies and procedures.
Operational Management
  • Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and ad‑hoc analyses for stakeholders.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Partner with business units to understand requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to data models.
  • Document and maintain metadata, business definitions, and data lineage where applicable.
  • Support data governance initiatives, including data quality rules, controls, and audits.
  • Monitor and improve data quality by identifying issues, performing root‑cause analysis, and coordinating remediation.
  • Develop training for end users to facilitate best‑practice use of data management tools.
  • Collaborate with other administrators to ensure effective protection and integrity of data assets.
  • Monitor data management system performance and implement efficiency improvements.
EDUCATION
  • College diploma or university degree in computer science, statistics, or related field, and/or two years of equivalent work experience.
  • Certifications in Microsoft Fabric (DP‑600, DP‑700) and Power BI (PL‑300) preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Strong understanding of data models, structures, theories, principles, and practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of data modeling tools such as Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
  • Strong familiarity with data preparation, processing, classification, and forecasting.
  • Working technical experience with relational database servers, including Microsoft SQL.
  • Direct experience with data management techniques.
  • Hands‑on database tuning and troubleshooting experience.
  • Involvement in inter‑departmental projects and experience communicating with various stakeholders.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs.
  • Extended visual use of a computer screen.
