Business Analyst - AE Mailer Business Analyst, TDS

This position works with internal and external customers to elicit high-level requirements and capture business needs; understand the customer journey and define user requirements as part of the technology product division of Syneos Health. Engages with customers, internal partners and influences project decisions; assesses the risks of various solutions and prioritizes competing business demands.

• Participate in day-to-day business discussions with key stakeholders and customers (external and internal) regarding declared and undeclared needs.
• Capture and document those needs and user requirements, including writing user stories for development.
• Collaborate with the internal development team on new business initiatives, gather and translate requirements, and be involved in the technical development of reporting needs.
• Assess risk and provide proactive messaging along with potential solutions.
• Support QAUAT processes, including creating and reviewing business test cases and assisting users in testing.
• Partner with customers and stakeholders on clear expectations for project delivery, including their role in clearly defined requirements.
• Capture feedback and re‑contract with stakeholders as required.
• Assist in the management of project updates with local and offshore development teams.
• Participate in and manage daily project updates and project coordination activities.
• Ensure that the products and applications in development meet the needs of end business users and respond to their queries.
• Perform data analysis, testing, and reporting.
• Identify potential issues before they arise for the user and tie back the initial requirements and goals for all involved stakeholders.
• Assist in communication between developers and end business and/or customer users.
• Translate technical needs to non-technical users and vice versa.
• Communicate in a clear, concise manner and translate requirements based on the audience.
• Collaborate with offshore and onsite teams on product and business use cases.

• Independence to run several medium‑complex projects across internal and/or external customers.
• At least 4–5 full‑cycle implementation experience (SDLC) in BI Analytics‑based projects in the Biopharma, Life Science, or Healthcare sector.
• Demonstrated knowledge of both traditional Waterfall and Agile Lean methodologies.
• Experience in converting business requirements and functional requirements to use cases, epics, and user stories with acceptance criteria.
• Ability to quantify resource requirements and measure and communicate proposed project benefits.
• Strong risk assessment, problem resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Ability to engage both onshore and offshore teams as well as customers to achieve target outcomes.
• Good technical understanding including architecture, data analytics, project management, quality assurance, infrastructure, and maintenance/support.
• Excellent written and verbal communications; customer-focused approach through active listening.
• Ability to remain agile and nimble while navigating a matrixed organization.
• Self‑starter, proactive, strong business acumen, excellent follow‑through.
• Added advantage if experienced in Finance Accounting or HRIS areas within healthcare.
• Experience working in an onsite-offshore model.
• Technical skills needed: SQL, some BI tools, and the ability to learn proprietary technology.
• Mastery of Microsoft suite of products.
• Familiarity with transaction processing applications such as Oracle.
